Calcium Helps For Strengthening Bones

Many people eat calcium to keep their bones strong and healthy, but its not necessary that every one has to consume it. According to the Ayurveda, you can include the foods in your diet that contain calcium in it.

If the body gets calcium then not only the bones remain strong, but blood pressure is also controlled. Calcium and vitamin D are needed to keep our muscles healthy, so let's know what are those foods, which keeps us and our bones strong.

Black or White Sesame Seeds:

Black and white sesame seeds contains a lot of calcium in it, which strengthens the bones, and also maintain the cholesterol level. Sesame seeds are rich in fiber, protein and vitamin D. You should consume it regularly. You can make laddus by mixing black or white sesame seeds in jaggery and ghee, which will increase calcium in your body. Not only this, sesame seeds also keeps teeth and gums healthy. You can consume sesame laddus as energy balls.


Amla is very rich in vitamin C, iron and calcium, which is effective in relieving hair loss, thyroid and bone problems. You can eat amla to keep hormones better, this does not delay periods and it does not causes the deficiency of vitamin D. You can eat things like amla raw juice, powder or syrup. People who have joints pain should not eat amla.

Dairy Products:

For calcium and protein, you can consume milk, curd and ghee. If you are consuming milk and ghee then your Digestive system will be good, bones and muscles becomes strong. Dairy products are rich in potassium, vitamin D and protein. If you consume milk, milk shake, curd, ghee and other dairy products regularly, there will never be a deficiency of calcium.

Green Leafy Vegetables:

Vitamins A, B and D are found in green vegetables, due to which the body not only stays fit but bones also remain strong. Many peoples have problems with hair breakage, hairloss and body pain, so green leafy vegetables must be consumed because it is very good for health. You can consume broccoli, peas, beans, spinach and mustard vegetable regularly these all are very good for health. If you want to include calcium in your diet in addition to wheat, you can eat bread made of ragi, jowar, bajara etc.

Nuts and Dry Fruits:

Adding nuts and dry fruits in diet, we can give calcium to the body. You can add almonds, cashews and pistachios in your diet For staying healthy. Soaked the nuts at night and then consume them on an empty stomach in the morning.
